e-Taxfree is a new electronic Finnish service for VAT refund.

You may receive your refund in the following refund offices:

e-Taxfree Nuijamaa

Opening hours:

Mon-Sun: 08.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m.

e-Taxfree Vaalimaa

Opening hours:

Mon-Sun: 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m.

e-Taxfree Helsinki airport, Terminal 2, Departure hall (landside)

Opening hours:

Mon-Sun: 06.00 a.m. – 11.00 p.m.

e-Taxfree, trains to Russia (“Allegro” and “Tolstoi”)

The first list will be available at our launch in April 2016. After that we will publish and update a list of stores all the time.

No, to obtain the export validation, goods purchased must available in the original package.

When you are leaving the country to head home, take your purchases, receipt and passport to the Customs desk or to e-Taxfree Customer Service to get your Tax Free Form validated. Make sure the goods are unused. Don’t pack away your purchases as you will need to show them to the Customs Officer or to e-Taxfree personnel.

At the moment e-Taxfree is available only in Finland.

No, the export validation is compulsory for getting refund.

It mean that you have a chance to choose whether to get your refund in the border crossing points (e-Taxfree) or from the store when coming back to Finland (e-Invoice).
